TCV is a coalition of state conservation groups and individuals dedicated to raising voter awareness, advocating for stronger environmental laws and holding our elected leaders accountable for safeguarding the environment of Tennessee.
Tennessee Chapter of Sierra Club
Since 1892, the Sierra Club has been working to protect communities, wild places, and the planet itself. As the largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization in the US, Sierra Club has been active in educating citizens and fostering advocacy for preserving Tennessee’s environment.
Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness Planning
Tennessee Citizens for Wilderness Planning works to achieve and sustain protection of natural lands and waters via public ownership, legislation, or cooperation with the private sector. Our first focus is on the Cumberland and Appalachian regions of East Tennessee, but our efforts may extend to the rest of the state and the nation. TCWP's strength lies in researching information pertinent to an issue and informing and educating our membership and the public.
Tennessee Environmental Council
The Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and serves as a statewide focal point for the environmental efforts of numerous organizations and individuals working on several projects.
Tennessee Native Plant Society
Since its founding in 1978, the Tennessee Native Plant Society has nurtured interest in wildflowers and other native flora while working to protect Tennessee’s native plant heritage and preserve it for future generations. We believe that a public educated about wildflowers of the state will help to ensure the conservation of this irreplaceable resource.
Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association
TRPA is a nonprofit professional society of approximately 1200+ individual and agency members organized in 1952 as The Leader in supporting highly effective professionals to achieve healthy, livable communities. TRPA exists to strengthen and unite those committed to the benefits of parks and recreation.
Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association
The Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association (TSRA) is a volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation, protection and restoration of the scenic, free-flowing rivers of our state. The organization has approximately 1,000 members across the state and the south.

The Tennessee Association for Justice works to protect the civil justice system and advocates for accountability and the rights of all citizens.
Southern Alliance for Clean Energy
The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy promotes responsible energy choices to ensure clean, safe and healthy communities throughout the Southeast.
Since 1987, Scenic Tennessee has been the only organization in the state devoted entirely to issues of scenic beauty. From billboard control to litter reduction to historic preservation to scenic highway designation, we work with partner organizations, citizens and policy makers to keep Tennessee looking its best--for those of us who live here, and for the many visitors who help keep our economy vibrant.
League of Women Voters of Tennessee
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
Cumberland/ Harpeth Chapter of the Audubon Society
Audubon seeks to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
For more than a century, Audubon has built a legacy of conservation success by mobilizing the strength of its network of members, Chapters, Audubon Centers, state offices and dedicated professional staff to connect people with nature and the power to protect it.
The Harpeth Conservancy is dedicated to preserving and restoring the ecological health of the Harpeth River and its Watershed. Our work leverages the scientific and technical training and experience of our staff and advisors with the efforts of a diverse corps of volunteers who are crucial to every aspect of our programs. Our board members, volunteer leadership, and hundreds of supporters are county commissioners, local city staff and officials, government agency staff, concerned citizens, farmers, business leaders, scientists, engineers, and community leaders who share our commitment to having an ecologically healthy river.
Southern Environmental Law Center, Nashville
The Southern Environmental Law Center is using the power of the law to champion the South’s environment — from clean energy and healthy air, to our rivers and streams, to our precious mountains and coast. Our six-state region includes Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
TennGreen Land Conservancy empowers landowners and communities to protect large, connected natural areas that support diversity of life, inspire appreciation of nature, and spark action to protect the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the land that sustains us all.
Tennessee Ecological Restoration Association
The Tennessee Ecologoical Restoration Association is a unified voice from the ecological restoration community that promotes the expansion and success of the mitigation market in Tennessee through policy initiatives and collaboration with regulatory agencies.
